I have definitely got my eye on the classifieds that's for sure.
FASH vs indie is a matter of personal preference really - there are pros and cons for both.
It makes no difference whether a car has had general servicing done at Audi or indie in relation to DRC, aux rads or oil cooler - if they've gone they've gone and will need to have been replaced. Virtually no-one would do work to any of these components as general maintenance.
And I've said it before and will say it again - just because DRC hasn't gone wrong on a car doesn't mean that it necessarily will.
Oh and FON!

Audi dealer history is "nice" but a mix with a recognised specialist is always good too. The thing is now days, for general servicing, there really isn't much to it. There's a lot of "checks" but the checklist is pretty short so its really limited to the basics that anybody with half a mind to do can do easily enough. Change oil, maybe brake fluid, measure discs/pads, air and pollen filters and visual inspection... There's no big secret special way of doing things - it's the more unusual jobs such as manifold replacement that you'd want somebody with a history to be able to do it.
Most cars now will be outside the 5 year / 75,000 mile "goodwill" offer from Audi so DRC is a meh.
To be honest, *any* car over 5 years and 75k miles may start showing signs of worn suspension so not unexpected to be honest. the aux rads as failures go are not too bad - £300 odd from an independent all in and whilst you are there you might as well fit a cold air feed which stops half the problem coming back.
Oil cooler is a nasty bugger and not much you can do about that.
