Will you do a thread of your impressions of the 517 VB. This is something I'm considering. I'll be over there soon. Can you remember how heavy it was?

It just so happens that I have the FedEx paperwork on my desk - 10.800Kg with packaging. I sent it out @ 12Kg with packaging.
I'd suggest you allow Sam to pack it up for you, he's done many and will ensure it's good for transport. Mine caught some damage on the way out due to my apparent shoddy packing and I really took my time!

Clutch is very light and actually really smooth. When we went to get fuel at castle combe I thought it would be a shocking ride, the opposite really.

No, the clutch is light (it's a 'ramic), the gearchange is a little too clunky and long. The pedals are rubbish though, I'd like to go aftermarket or floor-hinged with those. It's very driveable (ask Chunky) but you find yourself staying in gear whereas in the tiptro you just flip a paddle and you're on-boost. If it was lighter car then fine, you'd just do an in gear pull without too much effort, but in a bigger heavier car the tiptro rules... but - then there is that limit to the power. I think this manual needs more work, the paint is shocking, I thought it was bad on my 'loon.

Sounds like a good excuse to get it repainted in Noggy blue.

There are a few things, that imo should have been done to the car when being built. Still doesn't stop it being a very capable car on the track for its size but it could be better. Have you gone to Audi yet bam ref the paint?

Forgot to say, someone commented on the car at the petrol station. He stopped his range rover, leant out the window and said "fecking sweet motor man". I said ta, it's my lovers, he just nodded and drove off

No. I'm gunna search the forum for others that have done the bubbling roof thing. I'm assuming I'd get better traction contacting Audi rather than walking into a local stealer.

Oh no it wasn't, that was the police I was keeping informed of your movements (not bowl) as I thought you were taking me out into the sticks to bury me (no pun intended)
