My money is on there being a vacuum leak somewhere on both cars. More often than not that's the cause of such low power output on the B7.
Plus 1... AMD think the same...
My MAF is (was) fcuked and that combined with huge heat soak through the revolution induction kit may be the issue. I had cleared the DTCs using VCDS after fitting the dry cone filter that came from Revolution and for the first 70 or so miles the car was flying, but Im told that the ECU re learns and as the MAF is the first point where air is detected, if this is in the slightest corrupt it will completely feck the car and it started to hesitate and feel laboured from 5 toi 8k....Bit like Mikes car....New MAF fitted and it was flying again.

So New MAF coming tomorrow and refitting the standard air box but with a Pipercross panel filter. Then back to AmD for fitting of a JHM short shifter and another dyno run....Hopefully it will be a lot better than 330bhp :dung: :dung: :dung:

Anyone got graphs? be nice to compare the b8 delivery against a decent power b7.see how good my arse cheek Dyno is at the feeling of a severe lack of torque in the b8.

Thanks Louie. Yesterday was really enjoyable & good to meet up with everyone again. Also good to meet some new faces. Name tags were a great idea.

Nice to see my car was running around what it should be on your Dyno.

A great turn out of some great looking & sounding cars. I may be a little more deaf than I was on Saturday but it was worth it.
S4 B8 MRC stage 2 map, MRC custom supercharger pulley & high grip belt, MRC high flow air filter & silicone intake pipe, MRC cooling upgrade, Bilstein PSS9's, RS5 Brake upgrade, H&R ARB's, MRC gearbox re map, Supersprint cat back exhaust, Michelin Pilot Supersport tyres. 500.7ps 596nm. Well this is where things get a little "grey"

AFAIK the other chaps with the MAF issue caused by the wet filter have, after fitting the dry filter not had issues. However both Ben and the tech (not sure of his name) that was doing the wheel alignments and also fixing a few cars said that the DTC fault im getting........

08567 - Bank 1; System Too Lean off Idle P2177
could be as a direct result of the induction kit combined with heat soak (and of course the fecked MAF) so Im a tad confused but not letting it piss me off (yet) :bigblink:

OK so what I will do first thing tomorrow is this

1, Replace MAF
2, Clear DTCs
3, Retain Revolution induction kit and run the car to see if the fault re appears

Ross-Tech Wiki states

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.ph ... 177/008567 :bash: :bash:

Also had this the other day but its not re appeared since I cleared the DTCs

001169 - Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 1 P0491 - 002 - Insufficient Flow :bash:

True words mate - I had mine decoked, stage 2 tune with pipercross filter & catless bespoke twin 2 1/2" zorst - I gave 428 @ MRC, Sunday I got 404 - It's just not worth touching the engine more than a light fettle and an exhaust unless you are going SC'd - For me, that's the end of engine mods.

Think we should stick another fiver in for who lost the most power over the shortest amount of time. I'm currently at -44hp in three months.
