Order placed, now the waiting game begins.

Good news from the dealer, the car has shipped and is due to land at port on 20th October. That's about a month earlier than planned.

Nice news on one hand, but the early arrival means delivery before the next payday, not something I had expected, 92% saved just a little more needed. A bit of financial rearranging is well worth having the car a month early

Well, the dealer was spot on, the car arrived at the port yesterday (20th October). Unfortunately due to Eid there are backlogs at customs so it won't clear the port until the end of this week. Delivery expected to be just before the end of this month.

Once out of the port It will then go for PDI, after the PDI is complete Audi have agreed to trailer the car to and from my local Gtechniq dealer to have the following done before I take delivery....

Gtechniq new car preparation including crystal C1 and Exo V2 coatings
Gtechniq C5 wheel armour
Gtechniq L1 leather guard
Gtechniq T1 tyre and trim

Audi won't be removing any transport coverings and will leave it to Gtechniq to unwrap and prepare the car for the first time.

Quite. Avoid the bucket full of sandy water being applied with a Brillo. My local dealer always looks at me like I've just shat on their chair when I refuse a wash.
