Remember mine can be very polite when in comfort mode, no drone, no boom; you can barely hear it (just like the OEM sports exhaust :audibash: ).

But open the valves and all hell lets loose. My problem is that I leave the valves open too often for my Mrs.

I can take you for a spin it in next time if you like so you can hear the difference and hear the awesome down shifts. It crackles at the higher rpm and booms at lower rpm. I find myself chuckling to myself an awful lot.

Either way, they certainly made my factory sports exhaust on my B8 seem rather weedy[/quote]

This is also very interesting, But!!!! did he mention how much??? as the Ackrapovic is £4800,"ouch" and also comes with a pair of very nice carbon fiber tips. :biggrin3: We need to here this exhaust asap. Come on Miltek hurry up.

i couldn't agree more, my sports exhaust is almost silent compared to my last one. i just know im going to change it out. :FIREdevil:

He wouldn't be drawn to an exact price, but said it should be just under £2k
It'll still use the standard exhaust garnish, so just two normal looking pipes tucked out of sight on both sides
See if you can get a spin in their valved demo, it's certainly a nice sound

Yes, sometimes I think the sound is just as beautiful on the overrun as on full throttle, especially at higher rpm

There is no way I could change to an B8 and keep the factory exhaust after living with my Milltek non res V8!

No offence to Graham but I could not believe how quiet his RS 4 was even with the sports exhaust.

I think mine sounds like an RS should. It turns heads when I start it up and also when driving in dynamic people know I'm coming. AMG do a perfect job of this, why can't Audi?!

Yeah, that's it Nick, rub it in !! Haha

I agree about AMG. A C63 is an awesome sounding car, but still perfectly low toned for day to day use
I still think my B7 RS4 sounded better

Better than a C63? Bold claim.

Sorry, the context of that was that my B7 sounded better than my B8. C63 trumps them both on sounds alone :(

I actually preferred the B8 with sports exhaust to the C63 when I test drove them back to back. C63 was too like a us muscle car for me. The RS4 was like a DTM car, and the overrun was awesome. I bet the milltek will be brilliant though.

You need to hear nicks RS5, it's fantastic
Problem is, it's unidentified as came on his car and doesn't appear to have any markings, so no idea where or how to buy :(

I'll get it on a ramp and make sure I can see which exhaust it has and let you know.

Yeah, keep me posted as the sound was unlike anything I've heard before on those engines

Might be a little too much for my day to day car, but when/if I get my v10+, I might get in contact with whoever it was to see what they can do

Wow, I don't think I ever heard your RS5 before on video, I certainly didn't see it in the flesh. Thats the Supersprint straight-through X pipes (as per your for sale thread) in place of the factory Audi centre boxes?

C63 is very different noise. Similar to my vxr8 as you get with a lazy large engine.

However with any decent exhaust the rs4 has a great burble matching the c63.
Get the rs up to 8k rpm and it sounds a proper exotic whereas the c63 almost sounds flat in comparison.
