Unless it's something done by Tony/DK, I thought it was just from factory.

I'm not sure it was factory as it wasn't an ordering option from the outset, AFAIK. It was probably a special order, not a cheap one as DK said. Maybe you could clarify with him, I'd prefer to just vaguely 'remember'. Either way, gloss optics are interesting.

It was ordered through Audi exclusive according to Audi's system when they put my VIN in, so maybe...

So there you go, an Audi exclusive option - would this be done in the factory or after? Exclusive don't sound cheap, how much was it?!

Factory, dealer fitted options wouldn't be shown on the system recorded through the VIN. Not sure on cost, but it was £93k vs £76k list... I do really like the glossy finish. :kissmyrings:

Some of you may know this car, it's called Judas.

Image

It started out life as a broken stock RS6, the owner then shoehorned an LS1 into it. Then, he took leave of his senses, stroked it to 383, built the internals and mounted two Chinese turbos remotely, just before the tailpipes. It's since caught on fire with no other updates I can find (I haven't be bothered to look).

Spotted this at MRC last week, apparently owned by someone on the forum, bit of a trouble maker so I've been told :bigblink:

ATF temp sender so the TC wouldn't lock. So, I sent the VB off to 517trans and they rebuilt it. MRC replaced the VB loom and also found the engine oil overfilled by AmD. They also rectified a leak to the turbos with engine in situ which AmD wanted to perform an engine pull.
The car has been on the dyno without any gearbox slip and a test drive didn't find any slip either, so I'm very happy.
It'll be painful getting back into the 'loon, I'm sure a manual in the C5 is just wrong, it's great on track but everywhere else I'm sure the tiptro comes out on top.
