anyone think the b7 rs4 alloy wheels would look nice on the rs6 lowered with spacers?

Yes, I think it looks really good. You don't need spacers, though. They already stick out 6mm further than the standard wheels.

I still think the original wheels fit the car the best they just look right especially if they are plus colour or anthracite. Having come from the world of Mitsi Evo when the first thing you do is change the wheels.

I have been looking for nearly two year for new wheels for the 6 that look better than the original factory option and I haven't found any yet. Even some of the wheels in this thread make the car look just a bit chav it's only my opinion though

I agree, finding wheels for the C5 is very hard.

I've gone and done this: 19x9 ET33 "peelers". I like the original standard C5 RS6 alloys, but they need serious refurb work (last owner visited lots of kerbs, and had removed the paint/polished them up). And then ebay delivered, yay! I'm v happy with the look. Now I can refurb the originals at my leisure...
