Superb Daytona Grey RS4 B7 - FASH - 68k - High Spec

Post by Youngben » Sun Sep 29, 2013 7:27 pm

Well where do i start! It may be with deep regret that i am thinking about selling my RS4 :bash: through no fault of its own may i add! It has been Faultless for the 10k miles i have owned and driven it but its time for me to move on before i eventually have to sell all the toys and grow up.

I found this little gem 300 miles away up in Edinburgh and traveled to buy it on just the owners word of how good it was, And how right was he. Im so glad i stumbled upon this example when looking it was a UN-molested 2 owner example that had been looked after regardless of cost and wanted for nothing. Since purchasing it i have given every bit off attention it needs regardless of cost to carry on the car to the standard it has been since it was released from the factory credited from the 2 owners before me.

I challenge you to find a better kept example.

Awesome car with everything done proper! GLWS Ben.

If you decide to sell separate or the owner doesn't want it, I'd be interested in the revolution kit

Sorry to see you leave the RS4 fold should you sell it. My word it is bloody well specced though. Can't think of many options missing other than the stupid blinds.
And also, I've said this before, it's one of the better looking RS4s out there (I think it's the ride height that does it for me).

I was/am looking for a Cabriolet, but I have to say, that is a nicely specced car that ticks a number of boxes.

Few questions that I am sure will help other noobs like me:
1 You say that you are 300mile south of Edinburgh. By my reckoning that puts you somewhere in the middle kingdoms. I appreciate you dont want to put up an address, but can you give a rough idea of area?

2. Aux Rad removed and Cold Air Intake Fitted. - CAIK I am cool with, but what was the benefit of removing the Aux Rad?

3. How boomy is the exhaust on the motorway and have the cats been retained. (Noob question again, but there are plenty of experiences on here of the noise from the non resonated Milltek, but not much for that system).
Factory.standard 2014 S4 Black Edition for the daily commute.

EVO engined AWD hatch for the track and weekends.

Ref 2..removal of aux rad, enables the cold air feed duct pipe direct to your air box.you still have another aux rad the other side...these cars were designed for the worldwide market and the two aux rads may be of help if you live in Dubai, not if you live in derby..

Also, it is one less radiator to replace as they fail fairly regularly, the passenger side one more of the time for some reason though.

thank you for the kind words all and Scaghead thank you for that i could not describe it any better myself.

HOL i have PM'd you with information you require.

Avert edited for location.

In regards to the exhaust for anybody interested this is what i have said...

the only way i can put it is perfect! When i got it i wanted all the noise possible so left the valves disconnected so it was a non valved non res system and i enjoyed it for a couple of months and after that is started to get boomy in the cabin as you say for normal driving! But after connecting the valves to see what the difference would be i fell in love with it all over again and its now perfect for all conditions. With the valves open it sounds as good as it did without them connected and with them closed you would barely know there is an exhaust on it! The car sits silent on the motorway at a cruising speed of 70 - 80mph and the exhaust will not be invading at all i promise you!.
