It's happened to me twice over the course of about 18 months. Last time was probably 8 months ago.

you can make it stick at will

with car out of gear and clutch depressed rev engine to 6-8k a few times
it will stick

why would you want to make it fail??

A repeatable problem is something that should be stuffed and mounted on the wall.

Yeah thats what I have got Arthur. I wonder if anyone else's actually passes this test. At 6,000 it doesn't always happen but up to 8,000 it always does.

it's not 'failed', it happens all the time during spirited driving, all you do is pull it out
driving with it stuck also doesn't seem to be an issue, mine disengaged, the pedal just stayed down most of the way, you could still disengage the clutch by pushing the stuck pedal

it's a way to show the dealer exactly what is happening
if it's not repeatable, it's not a problem to them

I'm not even going to comment on the sticky pedal as I don't want to tempt fate :nodder:

Have any of you simply tried to flush the clutch fluid and put some high quality stuff in?

I'm about to tackle this problem and this is where i'm starting.. Who knows what Audi put in there..!

You fitted the steering wheel yet?

I am not sure if anybody has done a self service on the clutch but I imagine they have. We already know about the pressure plate issue which has been carried to the JHM ones as they used an OEM one in their clutch so it seems to be an issue specific for the clutch and is normally solved by its replacement.

I took the opportunity to post the changes I have made to add another example, the components changed and the final solve. To be honest unless you drive the car close to limits it doesn't tend to reappear and you will likely get a considerable amount of miles out the car without having to change anything.
