Out of curiosity, did you have the high revs, then slamming into gear sympton which the ATF change cured or did you change the ATF before any of that arose? Thinking my own gearbox sounds a bit "coarse" at the moment and wondering if a pre-emptive fluid change might be the way forward.RS6JJL wrote:change the gearbox fluid first, mine was like new once that was done check for fault codes with vagcom to follow up before booking in chances are though its logged a fault on the automatic transmission module
30th july, booking her in for a gearbox service, getting a couple of things checked that have been suggested, ( thanks Doug...MRC..... )...fingers crossed,if not, will be sitting her for a while,to get pennies together.......WAFWOTTBI wrote:Had quote from Doug at MRC,car may be sitting for awhile, couple of things to try, cheers Doug, still thinking new box, need to get more pennies together......she will be fixed though, just not sure when.......
According to the guy who looks after mine, the new oil pick up pipe had a cloth/gauze filter in middle of it,so possibly after 10 years of running, mine may have been slightly or partialy blocked, running like a dream at mo,give it a few more weeks,it used to be worse in colder weather...not missing a beat at mo......fingers crossed...chunky79 wrote:Wonder if yours had the wrong length pick up pipe on then?
Mav,he just ordered the pipe from Audi, along with the stuff he needed for gearbox oil change.......mavada wrote:...where did you get the kit from?
