If you are in the club group session, nothing stops you making sure you are last into the paddock area, set off last after everyone else, do a feeler 'out' lap, you'd have the track to yourself with no other cars around. This is what I'd do (not that I've given it any thought, honest guv.......)

Yeah there will be some quick cars on track - but it won't be like a session with APS / MRC / TT Shop etc. Was shotgun in a 550 bhp B5 last year when Daves Porsche green TTRS lapped us and just disappeared, no way could we keep in touch, very impressive

And this is another reason why I don't track. Personally, on a track you go as flat out as you can otherwise I don't see the point as it is a racing circuit, I can share my pride and joy with everybody else on the road. Therefore I won't take a car that I really care about on the track as all I will care about is getting the fastest possible track time and will just get annoyed by being held up (Hey, it's just the way I am), pretty much like every journey everywhere for me to be honest.

I guess that sounds bastardish or anti-social but I can't help being competitive so it is best to just not get in to that situation in the first place with "fwends" for me. Sadly I am the type of guy that managed to split his best friends face open in a maul when we were playing on opposite teams and he stupidly wouldn't give up the ball to me, you don't want me on the track anywhere near you :(.

I hope you guys manage to rustle up the numbers that you want and have a great time on track, I wouldn't say no to a brief shotgun in a session or perhaps for my far nicer other half but do you have to go through all that health & safety drivel as a passenger too?

You wouldn't be competitive in a C5... except on the straights. I was holding a few smaller cars last year so I left them past thinking I could stay with them, wrong. I'd catch them up only to watch them leave me in the bends. No matter how much I tried, unfortunately trying harder in the C5 just makes things worse and wider.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Well roger my bottom. I owe you no beer sir as you were as blonde as me buying that Climate Control panel without applying that usually clinical brain of yours. Saying that, I probably owe you a few gallons of beer for various other thing on here though......

Looks like we do not have enough people for the track session. I will refund the money this week unless I hear otherwise.
