I know, I know, fake mats but?

Post by Mr Footlong » Sat Sep 07, 2013 4:49 pm

I was looking to replace my rather stretched cargo net via the bay of E and came across these during my browsing:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Mats-to-f ... 2c714b46a7

My mats aren't too bad but the usual heel hole is developing nicely. A lot of us know either how hard or expensive it is to get the official RS6 embroidered mats so am I committing sacrilege if I take a punt on a set of these for the hell of it?

Not a big risk, but I've given up on aftermarket mats. They always seem to be made from recycled brillo. Even the high quality ones. Why can no one seem to make some decent mats out of decent carpet material?

I got some RS4 mats form this seller and tbh the quality is spot on. They have been in the car for a year now and still look in good condition.

They look ok Stretch. I've had to stop wearing my high heels due to them going through the matt. The ones I got through the group buy have Been brilliant, shame the company had to stop selling them.

West Indian ting in my case. I am barefoot the vast majority of the time, only wearing shoes/socks when I have to in private at least.

Well I think you should maybe take one for the team and let us know what you think of them when they are delivered?

Yes, because I well known for NOT taking gambles in the past for the guys on here ordering from random outfits etc for their benefit....

Like The_Coat, I am pretty sure that I have ordered from these exact guys before so I will take a punt as I haven't bought anything car-related for a few days and am getting withdrawal symptoms.

If they are plop then mumsy will be getting some free mats for her A6.

Check that they are for the wider transmission tunnels of the V8s. Lots of people have been stung.

I bought an RS4 set of this exact same seller. They are decent quality at a reasonable price. Worth a punt

Thought I would live life on the edge and order a set before hearing your feedback MrFootlong. The fact this now represents risky behavior for me is a sobering realisation, that I am getting old and boring.......but I have got a nice car, so my face is "SO NOT BOVERED"

Will post about them once received.
