3 years... then you're doing alright, considering...
+1. Not that you want problems at all, but 3 years trouble free is goooooood. Plus, where have you been for 3 years??

LOl Chunky, I may just do that. On the up side, I took the car over to an audi specialist today who knows his stuff, and has all the performance parts, maps etc, so I spoke to him for easily 15mins describing everything that's going on with her, and he said that out of the countless 6's he's done, not one has ever needed so much as a head gasket. It's' always been various 'other' issues, so that filled me with a little confidence, but even if the heads or gasket is away I have heard good things about this guy, and he won't rip me a new arsehole, so even if it was like £1k for the job, then I wouldn't be too upset, it just worries me a little, that I could go ahead and spend that, then next week there is something else wrong, but hey ho, time will tell.

I spoke to Grizz last night and with the symptoms he said he would be surprised if it was the head but couldn't be 100% sure, however has asked me to get a price for the works being done at Unit20, anyways will update once I know for sure what s going on with her.

Thanks guys for the advise btw

Uncross your bits mate, they will swell up like balloooooooooons. I really hope it isn't the head gasket but from what you have said on here it sure sounds like it (just wanted to bring you back down to ground after the positive news  )

Hope you're right. If so, put a bit more in and get an R8 cap.

Well guys here's the update as is, Following on from establishing that the heads are not shot, I have since found out that my TC is shot, clutch packs gone!!!!! I have a man that knows what he's doing with these cars, so have saved on the labour that way. I have just bought a new oil cooler, and 4 no oil pipes so will ask him to install whilst the TC is going on, I am also going to get him to do my Head Gaskets. While the front of the car is off and the engine out, should I do anything else that you can think off.

Here a list of what I have done over the past 3 weeks, or will be doing over the next 2 weeks

Replaced Driver Window Regulator
Replaced Front & Rear Discs
Replaced Front & Rear Pads
Replaced Coolant Expansion tank
Replaced Front Drop Links
Replaced 2 no ignition Coils
Replaced N75 Valve

Full White Wrap, with Gloss Black Optics, Carbon Fibre Mirrors, Carbon Fibre Rear Spoiler, Carbon Fibre Rear Skirt (Will post photos once completed.)
Oil Cooler & Pipework
OSF Ball Joint being replaced with Dust Cover.
Head Gaskets Being Replaced,
Full Gearbox Service (still on original box, with 159092 on the clock)
Lam Sensors

Definitely Stage 1 map, possibly Stage 2, depending on cost implications to upgrade a few parts in order to relieve any stress on the Engine, what do you guys recommend, MTM, MRC, ABT???

Welcome your thoughts on the above

For mapping I would got to mrc. Why not gut your down pipes whilst they are off? Plus I would check your intercoolers are not leaking, chances are if they are original that they will be shot.

MRC for me every day and twice on Sundays. Just drove the Seat back from Newbury today after dropping the jap crapbox off and spent most of the trip just stunned at how well the Seat goes and everything feels so effortless. Most of that is down to the handywork of MRC, over a year after they did their thing.

The S3 is there currently (should have gone there in the very first place!) and when that is finished the 6 will be up there for Wagners, map tweak, health check and cambelt/supporting bits.
Current:

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

Gone:

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm
12' Cayenne Turbo, B7 RS4, S3, Cupra R, XJR, EVO VII, STI8,5,2&WRX, 106 GTI&XSI, other crap.

Thanks Footers, sounds like MRC are the way forward. Getting excited much. Ok I have relieved myself of my slushfund good and proper, but least that's those bits done.

Will call MRC on Monday see what they say to spending a day or two with them lol
