Audi_Care Leeds?

Post by will_kdy » Mon Aug 12, 2013 9:19 pm

Hi all,

I'm in the process of buying an RS4 which I have not seen yet, yeh I'm an idiot, the cars reg is YH07 EES a saloon in Daytona with 55K and comes from around the Leeds W/Yorkshire area, I work in the motor trade and have done all the checks I can! The car has a FASH DRC was replaced in 2010 and Lambdas and CAT replaced in 2012 along with work on the oil coolor pipes, so far so good, I had posted on here earlier about the car and got some great advise, anyway was meant to pick the car up tomorrow and got a call from the stealer (Stratstone BMW Leeds) this morning advising that after a workshop check the car required new front disks and pads along with a service? OK! When I asked where the work was being done I was told by AUDI-CARE Leeds? Checked they're website and theres not alot on there tbh, does anyone know of the business and more so the work that they do? Do they use OEM parts, I asked and was told from Strastone that OEM parts would be used!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, first RS and don't want to be put (ripped) off!!

Getting the car booked in with Star Performance Kirkcaldy (home town) for a check next week but this won't be much good after I've collected and paid for the car (probably)

Thank all in advance

Will (nervous new NOOB)

I live in Leeds mate and can safely say I've never heard of them, been in the VAG scene for years.

IVC or German Autocare are the biggest, even then I'm not sure if use them. Mine goes to Leeds Audi.

don,t know the company but thats got to be good news for you as a full brake replacemnt would cost you £1500 upwards let alone the service too. as far as i,m aware the only discs available for the rears are audi parts only but i could be wrong so would hope they use genuine allround. i,ve only had mine since easter and had a spin out tonight after it been unused for 3-4 weeks and its amazing. you,ll love it!!

I know there is Merc CARE and BMW CARE in Pudsey, off Staningley bypass.

They might be linked to them?

They used to be gresat with our Mercedes but over the past few years, they seemed to have expanded at a unreal rate.

Again, not sure if they are linked but the only place in Leeds I know of who sound similar.

To be fair, I think he did. He says there's not a lot on their website and, well, can't disagree with that!

I've owned VAG cars in Leeds for a long time and not heard of them. I've used IVC and Motorhouse (very local to me) as VAG indies. I found Leeds Audi didn't know their arse from their oil-filled shocks, never really had good experience with Sytner group tbh.

Anyway, just make sure they're putting in Genuine Audi parts and you'll be fine, can't go far wrong putting in disks and pads tbh. If it was to sort out the DRC then I'd say otherwise. If the dealer is doing this at their cost, then that speaks pretty well for them I'd say.

Thanks for all the replies folks, greatly appreciated, hopefully I'll be a very happy man come Friday :blackrs4:

Hope it all goes well! If the car's not mega clean it's getting left at the dealers!!
