Who me?
If anyone wants photos of the jhm exhaust or downpipes I can easily lay it out and take some. It's incredible when you see how smoothe the bends are... You realise that lots of the other exhaust makers just aren't trying hard enough.

Here's a car with the same modlist on the dyno (although he is using 93 us octane not 91)

Non res milltek sounds too raspy, and is virtually a replica of stock diameter /design.

Non res milly is only raspy with sports cats. On stock DP's and no cat DP's its sounds superb. I'm with silas for noise milltek wins

How many jhm exhausts haven't you heard? I'm guessing zero.

I have only heard the Milltek in person, not the JHM.
I think that Alan's AWE sounds a lot nicer and Terry's Tubi. But then hate the rough sounding exhausts and find myself cringing at some of the sound clips out there. That being said microphones can only do so much.
To give a definitive answer to what's best is something no-one can do after all we haven't heard them all. Looking forward to hearing Vicks custom set up in the recent thread. In addition I don't think we all want the same thing, I love the Milltek's low rev rumble and dislike its change of note up the revs but that's just my opinion and may be the selling point for someone else.
The best thing we could do is a rolling road day where all are represented. Those that turn up could then decide which they like the most and we could put the poll up here. If we also organise a high quality sound recorder to be there we could post video too.
Bar that everybody is welcome to post what they wish but there's really no reason to let those posts devolve into bickering.

Look - both the Milltek and the JHM sound great. I had the Milltek cat back with OEM dp's before this. It really did sound nice. I was truly just looking for some more power (JHM 2.75" dp's), and a bit more noise. The obvious choice for me was then to go JHM.
No need for a pissing match. Both exhausts sound superb IMO.

I have also fitted the JHM full exhaust and the sound is awesome. Except on cold startup when the standard tune has the car sitting at 2000 rpm for what seems like an eternity. It must be the natural frequency for the system as it is a very high volume boom. At idle it is a discrete burble and higher up it is sinister.
With the JHM tune is the cold start altered or removed to get rid of this?
