Titanium 8AU

Post by steely66 » Sun Jul 07, 2013 4:48 pm

Wheels arrived back from Lepsons, have to say seriously impressed and an amazing difference over the silver finish. New Michelin PS2's fitted and the new Zimmy discs from 123 going on this week. Four seriously nice corners now. Thanks for the shout on the colour code Bam.

Tit8au... Is this the actual colour OEM come in as? Reson I ask is after the prang and apparently 4 boucled rims, I had to wait for zee germans to send four new rims that took some time to source.. They arrive and were fitted, but I noticed that rather than a full Titanium look which of course they are, there was an ever so feint blue hue to them dont you think? Or is that just me?

They had some kerb rashing and when they stripped them two needed straightening up. They were all done together and it was about 80 a wheel with 20 for the straightening. Lepsons picked them up from my usual bodyshop and it took about 4 days to get them back. To be honest they look brand new and the matt effect is really good.

Just spending all my time now getting in a bit of a sweat anytime I go near a kerb...

The code is L8AU. For some reason we abbreviate Audi paint codes Lxxx to xxx. They are one and the same.

Yes they cant seem to help saying no paint code listed. You know what it likes if the computer cant tell them something they find it difficult.
