Know is a bit strong, but Chelmsford is my local and I had dealings with him when I was on the RS6 hunt, he'd only just joined. Come a long way since, good lad.

Yes, he's just been promoted. In charge of new car sales now. You won't go wrong dealing with him.

Bam, a B8 S4 is a really good choice.
I dont think the one at fontain is anything special tbh.

As you experienced in the RS 5, the quattro sports diff is the magic beans that made the fat arsed '5 feel so mobile...

Find a good spec one, in a good colour and you're onto a winner....sprint blue ftw

Also, 20" Vspokes would transform the look!

Go on then, buy it, bang a B8 RS 4 grill on it, some V Spokes, uprate the ARBs, put a zorst on, tune it, and enjoy the modern tech/reliability.

DK took me out in the RS 5 with the fancy sports diff and it was quite impressive, find one with that and you’re on to a winner, probably, RINGA loved his and he went from a tuned C5.

Try and keep hold of the C5, too. It suits you.

Standard they are nothing special, but ADS and sports diff do transform them in the handling dept.
Power wise, std is fine but lacks top end ... Remap sorts that, but never going to be a match for 750PS! A remap will get it on par performance wise with a 450PS RS 4/5 but obviously with more torque for the twisters.
Std brake are embarrassing and should be disposed of at the first opportunity...

Bloody hell Dave, give the man a chance, he hasn't even got the car yet :biggrin3:
What!?!

I had the a Capristo exhaust, GT Rear Lights, Carbon Mirrors, Carbon Sills well before I bought the car. I specifically got the exhaust as it came up at the right price and knew I wouldn't get another opportunity as couldn't pay the new price and had to have one.

IF Bam wants the Vspokes, same deal. Get them while available and stash for the right car.

Nowt wrong with that!

Hell, DK buys parts for cars he doesn't even know he wants yet! He even gets parts arrive he's forgotton he's ordered for cars he doesn't have anymore! PMSL!

Yep.

On that note, Bam - buy my carbon mirrors for B8.

They are the parts referred to below.

Had a parcel come from Germany...I thought, I wonder what this is? I've not ordered anything from Germany??!!

Turns out they were the custom carbon mirrors I ordered ages ago for Homer...

Fat use when I'd sold Homer already !!

PMSL !

20" V-spokes are awesome - love them. Will they fit from the wider RS4 / 5 onto the narrow arched S4 though?

PS - I've an S4 Avant just come in to stock also...

I heard you had a bit of a soft spot for the TTaRSe, bam.

I'll just leave this here...

Interior on B8 A4's is basic and plasticy. Spec is dire.
Lighter and chuckable yes.
But I found the lump to be weedy and gutless even in mapped form - no match for big cc blown power.
Box had a mind of its own and always in the "wrong" gear.
Brakes utter <beep>.

You'll love it for a week, then want back in an RS again ;)

Fixed.

Ref the rest - I'm sure Bam would intend to "enhance" the spec of some items, and drive the box in manual!
