Looking on ELSA and Bentley it appears that there is no centre front channel with Bose.

Kind of tempted to do this too but dont really want to rewire from the head unit and find a place for the amp etc
I have all the standard wiring in place and still usable. I got around any wire cutting by buying another Bose amp off eBay and butchering it for it's terminal block and soldered all the wires to and from the amp onto the back of the plug. So instead of the car's loom plugging into my Bose amp (which is still there) I plugs into a one that I made up.

That is odd. When I was working on my stereo (I can't remember what I was doing but I wasn't expecting any of the speakers to be working, possibly had the Bose disconnected) I could hear very faint music coming from somewhere. Hunting around I discovered there was a centre channel on the dashboard and that is where the music was coming from. Looking at specs the RS4 is quoted as having 10 speakers and I only knew of 9 until that point.
The reason I asked is becuase I coudln't remember under what circimstances I heard it unexpectedly working.

I also have the dashboard speaker. Maybe it is something to do with nav guidance and the bluetooth?

I thought there are 2x subs in the back so that would make ten. Then again, I also thought there was a front centre speaker so that's 11.......? :(

Yep, just 1 sub. My sat nav voice comes through my aftrmarket amp and speakers now. I don't have factory bluetooth so can't comment on that.
I'm pretty sure it was the CD or MP3s I could hear through the centre speaker.
