It's hard to loose money with bricks & mortar, cars on the otherhand are like plug holes.

What and not buy another car?

With £11,000 Deposit your get a house around £110,000 - dont know where you live but that aint going to buy you much in the way of a house.

You may need to re-think your saving plan :)

If you can only save £100 a month while owning a RS4 you really shouldent get one. Tyres all round recently cost us £900-ish, DRC issue £1000's.

Problems that could get you into serious debt fast, all of which come and go without much notice. RS4's are seriously expensive in maintenance and repair and honestly, given the chance again i would rather opt for something cheaper on maintenance and close to the fun factor. Something like an Focus RS.

Even if i got a mortgage now with a 20k deposit on a "decent house" £100k, and put 10-15k into the mortgage every year, which lets be honest at 21-24 is quite hard to do without a serious wage and no responsibilities. No body wants to get a mortgage at 23 that'll take them until 35+ to pay off.

Hence why a lot of us opt for the fun years before signing our soul away to the rat race

You can do first buyer schemes where you need 5% deposit. Get a really good interest rate as well.

Poor guy only asked about insurance and we are giving him life advice.

The £100 a month was just a random figure, I worked it out after all my outgoing & fuel per month I would still be left with around £600ish. & thank you nickyboy haha. All I asked about was insurance & now I am getting lessons in life & the future. I know it's good to plan for the future ect but what happenes if I save for a house then die the day after getting it haha. I wouldn't have had what I wanted. At the end of the day I want a RS4 not a house, don't want a house yet & don't need a house yet. As I said I am still only young, no commitments, no bills apart from the car, don't drink or smoke. I could be boaring & save for a house but I want to spend my money why I can & why I am young

F@ck it, buy the RS4 and worry about it when the time comes.
After all, the B7 RS4 is going to appreciate from now and could be worth £35k in 10 years...

According to the Sun (via another thread!)

Enjoy, and keep the glove box stuffed with contraception...

Very wise words from DK,i balance properties against my toys,i would like to think id live a long while so plan for it but also have my f%ck it moments you only live once,i have to be honest though and say im quite glad at 21 400 bhp cars were around and affordable,i got in enough bother with cavvy turbos and saph cozzys, you might want to to think about a few track days to learn the car safely, they hide the speed well. :beerchug: For insurance ive found LV very favourable but im not your age so im not sure you would be there target customer.
