Trouble is when you have one nice car can you then go to a poverty car?

Don't think I could or will.

Anyway, enjoy the RS, it will be great fun.

Good point, build up to it perhaps?
I got my RS4 when I was 39, insurance is now £365 with 9+ years NCB.
No mortgage worth mentioning, but expensive wife and daughters!!
Hate debt so waiting until the B8 is more affordable or just keep the current RS for a long time...

This attitude is what a lot of the young in this country need to take on. I include myself in that. Trouble is we all want it right away.

I have to say I agree with nickyboy

I've always had nice ish cars but always in a certain proportion to what I earnt so it built up nicely

I left home at 21 and stretched myself to buy a really nice 3 bed house which I wish I still had today.

Mortgage paid off by 29 and I have 3 years left on another place that one of the kids will get and then need to sort the other one out. I also own the mother in laws house.

As mentioned where do you go after an RS4

Yeh I suppose not much above a RS4 but I could get something else now & not be happy, spend a lot of money for something that I don't really want lol. I could happily get a fast diesel after the RS4 or something with a bit of poke lol. I could go & get a house instead but that's not what I want, plus you need a decent deposit now to get a house & I ain't go that at the moment

but if you didnt buy the RS4 and pay the high insurance price you could save for a decent deposit - just my pennies worth.

Problem today is that youngsters dont want to save for a house, they want all the nice things now, then when they want a house, find a girlfriend, get her pregnant, get council house, buy council house in 5 years with council paying £75,000 towards to house - no need to save for a deposit with the council effectivley willing to give £15,000 a year towards a deposit.

Not saying thats what your planning on doing, but loads of kids do it these days - i know three that have just done it.

Yep I understand that but I am only 21, if I was to keep the audi for 5 years & pay it off then say the car is worth £10,000 there is my house deposit & I will have had my fun with the car. Trust me no babies for many more years haha & I would never scrounge of the government. To many little scruffs doing that now,
