For me, black optics give the car an additional 'edge'. I hear what Shop says about the association thing ; however, I changed my Audi rings for satin because the mirrors are a satin/brushed ali finish, but the rings are chrome. It annoyed me!

Oh, and because my exhaust tips are satin black too ..

I think either red or silver will work. Silver due to the mirrors and rings. Red will just match bumpers, hmmmmmm.
