Heads Up West Midland Members

Post by Andyy » Fri May 17, 2013 8:45 pm

Today i was broken into by 4 armed men, well i say broken into the front door was unlocked so they strolled in. First i knew of the situation was when someone opened my bedroom door, made eye contact with me as i lay in bed and legged it out the house into a waiting car. I only later found out 4 armed blokes was in my house and the guy that entered my room had a knife.

Like most thieves, confusingly however, they were opportunistic. So just a heads up, keep your keys to the beasts safe :) most thieves don't want human contact and of course, lock those doors lol!

Nothing stolen, nothing damaged, nobody hurt. Doubt anyone will be caught with what little information me or even my neighbors that watched them enter my home could give the police. Knocks your confidence a little but that's where the blackjax system gives me piece of mind, if this event did go horribly wrong they wouldn't have gotten far and hats of to the police for arriving barely 1 minute after giving my postcode to the operator.

Not my house, my fathers. His philosophy, there's nothing to steal downstairs so why bother.

That's crap mate, i'm not too far from you I don't think. I'm shocked that they didn't threaten you as there were 4 of them with weapons but bl00dy glad they didn't. They have some balls doing it at 2.30pm!!
It's sad that doors have to be locked, but as soon as I come in the door is locked and key is left in so they can't pick the lock.

Northfield i'm from, not exactly the jewel of birmingham lol but yeah, that's something that confused me after learning they was armed. Luckily i have vigilant neighbors, would have been nice if they rang the police when they first seen something a miss rather than me having to ring them (one neighbor said red flag came up when one got out the car wearing a balaclarva) but hey, they got the reg and great descriptions of the guys which i couldn't having literally just woke up.

But yeah if you are in west midlands just keep an eye out and keep yourself safe, the car involved was a new-ish gunmetal silver merc, if you see one full of chavy lads. Like always, avoid them. We already pay enough for insurance don't want to give them an excuse to raise it lol

My neighbor didn't think of calling the police when he saw a couple trying to get into my house :bash: . He didn't even tell them to pi$$ off either, I would have gone out after them if I saw them at someones house.
Ah well, as long as you are safe. I'm down Northfield in the morning so will let my mate know what's happened.
