Does it actually feel faster than before? At 3,000 RPM it should feel fecking insane after a map.

The Revo on mine was allegedly 520bhp and was done by the first owner around 2004/5 .
When it went on Dougs rolling road it came out as 484, which i was happy with.
It IS a plug and play one, as i got the original flash drive with the car.
i will post the graphs up on here later for you from Dougs/MRC.
However, once mine hits 30mph, it does take off , so maybe its not the complete answer to your original problem

Mine was 495 on an MRC stg 1 but it's not always the headline figure that gives the performance, it's more about the torque and how it's delivered.

Bam - hard to explain, but it doesnt seem to have the grunt. Scan will hopefully highlight the issues

Hi Guys , the car has a viper stage 1 map not a revo stage 1 .
The car was tested before and after and was makeing the correct boost .

Sheer acceleration, push back in the seat job. Had a little dabble the other day and was pulling like a train from 20ish upto 140 kleptons ( i eased off at that point) I was still being pushed back in the seat at 140. When people ask me how it goes, i say ' you know how a car pushes you back in the seat under acceleration, then they say 'yea' , and i say, well this monster tries to shove you down the gap between the backrest and base.............in the BACK seat'captrs6 wrote:ahooga - how does it feeling when your 60+??
It IS pure violent force/drive from 25ish upwards AND keeps the kids quiet on the school run cause their down by the battery somewhere.
Its only the initial take off that is slow, i say slow meaning compared with another 6 , once its rolling at 2500-3000 its what you'd expect.
Doug told me that the ECU isn't requesting boost till later than a normal/standard map which he found found surprising. we didn't remap it or anything at the time as the object was to see how the car went and what condition it was in. Car was advertised as 520 when i bought it and i was curious, that's the reason i took it to MRC..
My cars remap was done many years ago by the previous owner at Audi's suggestion, as they said it should improve the fuel efficiency. I spoke with the previous owner, and he said his was one of the earliest remaps that Revo did as it was done quite cheaply to aid revo in the development of it. Audi never agreed to remapping cars then( warranty), but this was all done by gentleman's agreement.
Do the vcds scan later to see if it shows anything though, as your problem my not be anything to do with the remap.

Did the car seem OK when you took it home from unit20 ? did it go like billy o ( dont tell us you didn't try it

Brilliant, thanks for clearing that up Grizz. Capt, as mentioned from the beginning, get that VCDS log and anything else that Grizz has asked for and hopefully you guys will get your mind put at ease pretty sharpish!

Thanks for the confirmation Grizz.
I will do the scan and post the results up for your thoughts.
Will also do a running test against my friends Beemer Z4 to use as a visual guage to see how far back he is!

First scan done - my friend has VCDS release version 11.11.5 - full version.
It has produced the following faults. Faults were cleared and nothing has came up on re-scan.
Car will now go for run...
thoughts please guys.. Slighlty worried about 4 engine faults.
