Collected mine, no leak, they think its from when they serviced all the oil has leaked from the filter while it was off, I have been under the car with the tech, he has cleaned it and I am fine for now but will monitor as a few mates a getting wed in May so the car will be used a bit more.

Well guys finally!!!

Car back over the moon.

Final work done as follows...

40k service
Spark plugs
ITG filters fitted(two days before service!)
Pollen filter etc etc
Gearbox oil changed
New front discs and pads

Also my issues as follows.....

Oil pump 0 ring replaced(engine out)
Both rocker cover gaskets changed
Timing chain gasket changed

As a bonus if you can call it a bonus...

4 wheel alignment done due to engine out.
New coolant in cooling system.
Air con recharged
(All down to engine being out)
Various clips and small pipes renewed as part of the job(free!)

Car running like a dream now...recommend gear box oil change shifts feel very smooth now.

Anyway my RS6 adventure continues!!! Still love the car to bits.

Sounds even better now too with filters in!!!

And my the way guess how much the 0 ring was that caused all this heartache??....

I've circled it on my pics!!!

Tech says old 0 ring was perished and had gone hard?...maybe an issue of the tremendous heat engine generates? Who knows?

almost forgot....

They applied the special grease to my wheel bearings they "forgot" to apply last year when they replaced them!!!...

Gearbox seems smoother especially when selecting when stood still.

Gives me good piece of mind too that its been done.

She's up for her MOT next month...going to get diff oil changed too while its in.

I think I will get my plugs, box and diff serviced next month also, its getting on now and I don't want it breaking down

My mrs will be like I told you so and I don't want to prove her right!!

now get that exhaust worn in and we can compare sounds lol.
