Hello from France (Irish Guy)

Post by Kiergrills » Mon Mar 18, 2013 1:33 pm

Hello All,

I currently drive a RS4 B7 2007 Daytona Grey and thought it would be a good time to join a Forum! Love the ideas and solutions on here and thought I better say hello!!! The car is receiving some upgrades this week APR Supercharger and upgraded clutch and HMS Exhaust will try and post some pics on here in the next few weeks.

Until then happy motoring

Hello Guys

Thanks for the welcome! Just read the FON Rules VERY GOOD :-):-)
In reply to Bam Bam of course without pics to it doesn't exist :-)
I am really looking forward to sharing the pics with other forum users and have asked that many pics would be taken during the Install of the APR SC(lets see).
Just to make things clear this will be my first supercharged car so this is a learning process for me also!
Before this both my cars have been BMW (I Know :-)) first 735i v8 and last year while I live in Switzerland I bought an m5 E60 v10 but unfortunately I lost a fight with a tree on a slippery back road during the winter months(Bam I have pics to prove if you like :-)

Here is a link to the APR kit I that is being installed at the moment.(I think the software has been improved since they posted)

Here is link to the HMS exhaust that I will be fitting 30th April just in case ye are interested

Answer for Tile Driver
I am living in the Alsace area in a village called Leymen next to the Swiss border and have been here for just under a year. Thanks for the welcome!!

Can someone explain how I can post pictures? do I just add to the Gallery and then add them to my post?

Cheers Kieran

Pictures of a wrecked Beemer, sign me up! Glad you lived through it though.

So, to post pictures, create a Photobucket account (free) and upload pics there (it has a bulk desktop uploader if you've got many pics).
Once your pics are uploaded, you'll have a library/album, displaying an album will show various ways you can share these pictures. When posting on forums, BBCode is used and to post a hosted image, it uses tags. Photobucket creates this tags automatically for you e.g.

Image

Copy the text in the "IMG code" text box and paste it into your forum post, it'll look like this:

Code: Select all

[IMG]http://i848.photobucket.com/albums/ab49/ludo24uk/Forum%20postings/bucket.jpg[/IMG]
If want to copy multiple image into your post, use the 'organise' function in Photobucket, hold 'Ctrl' to select the photos you want to generate IMG code links for, then click the 'Link' button at the bottom of the page. An applet will pop up asking you to click the type of link you want to generate, it will copy all of these links to your system clipboard, now you just have to paste function into your forum post.

Done.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Well Guys

I have received the first pictures back from day 1 of the APR Supercharger Install. As you can see the Inlet vales are filthy!!!!!! the car has 90,000km and it received a clean from the Stealers at 60,000km or so they said!I guess they just ran a BG product through the intake stream. Cant believe how bad this is and Audi say there is no problem!!
Any way she will receive a good clean from VWPerformences in Anncey so I will try and put up a picture of it cleaned in the next few days.

Hey Guys

Have you ever seen such dirty Valves on an RS before? I am in shock even after reading many posts explaining the Carbon build up problem and having seen lots of pictures, I had never guessed it got this bad. Do you know what the average cost of a carbon clean is? I have read in a few posts that it usually costs around 600 euro is this correct anyone? I really think I have a problem with the Audi Stealers I use because he has now sent me some more pics of the Air Filter and Pollen Filter and they are also filthy! Its the last time I will use that Audi Garage.

Man my RS will be a completely different beast when I get her back :-)
