Well if you supply a TC you won't need the one that comes with the reconditioned box so it should be slightly cheaper. A reconditioned TC dosent cost much but every little helps.

Correct Bilko1 , If you supply your own Tc the cost will be deducted from the cost .

No extra cost in labour as the tc would be changed anyway .

The ac is a direct fit .

With reasonable prices like this i'm sure its going to keep residuals up or owner simply hanging onto theirs longer as they refuse to sell at illy low prices. Well it will for me. :)

Why oh why oh why will nobody get one or 2 of the Ace jobs in stock to provide at the same time as the box? Makes no sense to me that the end client has to go sourcing one individually each time when a fitter could logically keep one or two ready to go and send away knackered ones as they extract them.

So the warranty is not affected by using a 3rd party TC, which has not been indisputably proven?

I here what you are saying but ACE build the torque converters to spec, I know of 4 people on this forum that have them now and all are running a different spec converter.

But there is no way that a fairly generic spec one cannot be chosen that will work like OE but simply be tougher. Personally I dont care about/understand stall speed and all that guff. All I would be interested in is toughened all round for my power and more torque, trusting the manufacturer to build a good all round spec.
