S3 sedan, anyone know if RS3 on cards

What's the point of this s3 sedan when it looks much like an s4? I'm missing something, I'm sure, but don't know what!

Americans are far more likely to buy a sedan/saloon than an estate/wagon/Avant - so it's Audi chasing US market share.

But the S4 is available as a saloon, in the US it's the only shape they sell.

The S3 will be smaller than the S4, and Audi are aiming to fill every niche there is - and create loads of new niches - in their headlong dash for market share.

It is smaller.
I see the A3/S3 as a competitor to the 1 series, the A4/S4 to the 3 series, A6/S6 to the 5 series and A8/S8 to the 7 series. So if there is a market for a 135m or whatever they call it then there is a market for an S3, the fact it is a saloon makes it that little bit different from the 1 series offerings.

I had a dude come round my house the other day in a A5 3.0TDI remapped with a full OEM RS 5 bodykit at 20" wheels. It looked awesome!

I think a S5 Coupe 3.0TFSI with RS 5 body kit + MRC is one heck of a package!!

RS 3 is simply way too old a car IMO.

Audi make an S/RS everything now.

Not true, there is not a single saloon in the current RS range. And no plans for one either, as far as I know.

Indeed you are right but it just feels like Audi keep churning them out. I get this magazine from Audi every few months and it seems there's always a new S/RS in it.

I think DK knows a thing or two about fast Audis considering he's driven [not test driven]and lived with most if not all of them .The first week he had the RS3 he said it was as good as a TTRS which is in the same price bracket.

look at the millage he does, i would go for the old man car if i was driving that kind of distance, an A6 bitrubo is exactly what he needs, effortless wafting

i could happily drive an R8 as my daily driver, did 9 hours straight in the one i had no problems.

and yeah they are new A class "AMG" hatchbacks (every merc variant is AMG now lol) but they look horrid from the front
