You won't be able to get the piston return tool in there now. Suppose mole grips will do the job but thew chew the seal up.
Nice work yet again on the ceramics.

Just to follow up re the blocking of the piston return tool access - with the Electronic Parking brake it is not required, it's actually specified in the Audi manual to use the VCDS to retract it electronically as if you do use the tool you will break the motor. They just haven't bothered to update the caliper shape.

Anyway, calipers in the process of being painted up...

Cheers marzz, likewise. The car went in for a wrap today and some rear caliper decals.

3M 1080 Brushed Titanium...

BTW, here's what all the brushed metal finishes look like. For those who like the murdered out look the brushed black looks beautiful. The blue would look knockout too.

Caliper decals are cut

Wrap in progress

Wrapping finished. The valance in silver was too bright for me. This titanium is more subtle.

Rear calipers now complete

Have to say a big thank you to The Sign Team for wrapping the front valance and cutting the decals, plus a big thank you to Luke @ Jabbasport for all his hard work getting the rear brake calipers to this finished result.

I am considering it, but lots of other stuff to do to finish off the body of the car before I can consider a wrap. Going to be a busy couple of months

With the money you have spent on this you could have had an R8!

Fair play though it is a stonking car. I'm picking up my S5 tomorrow. I've noticed you're on A5OC as well, I just joined the other day.

So, what's next on the mods list? Is there anything else you can actually do?
2014: 8V S3, Scirocco (mistake)
2013: B8 RS 5, 3.0T S5 coupe, B8 S5 cab - temp, B8 S4 avant
2011: 2.0T FL Octavia VRS
2010: 1.8T Octavia VRS

I could have bought an R8, but I just love the lines of the '5 and it's more practical as a family car when I need it to be. Congrats on the S5! A few things yet still to do, watch this space.

A few updates

Stripped out the old Concert head unit and had it rewired and the Google NAV MMI 3G+ put in (bringing with it the MOST fibre network). Added an Audison DA1 to extract the digital audio from the MOST network and an Audison Bit One DSP, replaced the rear speakers and amp to match the fronts and added some other bits and pieces (rear parking camera, etc.). Also debadged the sides of the car and put a flat bottomed steering wheel on (required a bit of harness rewire).

Some pics below...

Doesn't get much more bare than this

Some of the stuff going in
Image

Image

When the Google Maps fired up - didn't manage to keep the camera steady when rushing to take the photo of the initialisation screen and just missed it.

Image

New RS Control panel (with the S6 start button transferred and the stupid coin slot blanked off and the KW DDC button mounted there).
Image

Nav Unit
Image

Rear left boot cubby hole. In here we have right at the back an OEM amp to drive a single centre speaker to push out system sounds (parking, telephone, etc. when the ignition is not on). Then two of the three amps behind the MDF panel to drive the Entertainment Audio, then the Bit One and the DA1 mounted on the panel, along with the Audi DAB Radio unit. The third entertainment amp is mounted in the spare wheel area.
Image

Bit One remote control (to control master volume, sub and DSP settings) is under my centre armrest. Once setup though you don't actually need it, the tone balance and volume inputs are all passed through from the head unit.
Image

Nice to have an updated screen and finally be able to see album art
