Try living in london....

1800 notes for my C6 all mods declared (8,000 miles and £1,500 complusory excess). Not only that it's the wife's policy, clean licence for 20 years Max NCB - one non-fault claim in last 5 years with me named driver on the policy (again licence held for 20 years but with 3 points) - go figure. And that quote was half the price of anyone else who dared quote

Ollys.... I'm chilling now that to know you are paying much more than me. I too live very near to central London so maybe thats the reason why for the silly quotes.

It must be location that's effecting your policy quotes as Olly has said. I too was pleasantly surprised with my latest insurance figures as once I went to Multi car with Admiral my premium came down to £550 with exhaust declared, annual 15K mileage including business :jump: I live in West Sussex and happily not close enough to London to suffer from insurance price hikes.

Lucky Andy :) I've declared exhaust, ECU map and wheels for 1200 and even without the mods cost over 700 but with sky high excess. 950 for stock car with resonable excess about 700 so I chose to declare everything might as well for the the extra 250 notes IMO.

Definitely worth declaring mods in my opinion, £250 vs no payout if something should happen......

Shaved £250 off admiral. Slightly higher excess but still worth it.

Axa. Who interestingly own Swiftcover, who's quote was over £900. When you go into the Axa admin portal for the policy, when you click on T&C doc, you get redirected to Swiftcover and their doc !? I think all of these insurance companies make it up as they go along.

Edit: Just looked at previous posts, Roy, on page 1 also scored at £450 from Axa. Also some other prices earlier in the thread that I couldn't get near.

I have a chum with a 17 year old son, who I gave my mum's old Daewoo Matiz. 1999, 850cc three cylinder, worth about £300 really. I upgraded my mum to the 2008 1000ccc 4 cyliner model (the quick one !). Chummy's son pays £1400 per year, with his parents as named drivers. Without them as named drivers it was over £2K. My pensioner mother now pays £79 fully comp on her 2008 car. Which incidentally I went to get two new tyres on last week, reasonable Firestones; £62 for the pair fitted !! £62 !! That's nearly the cost of a pair of TPS valve stems (not including the TPS sensor itself) on a C6 ! Don't even start me on the cost of these ceramics....
