Had mine done a while ago now, didn't bother putting it on a dyno, but could feel the car pulled stronger, also exhaust note was louder, worth having it done IMO, I don't bother using AMD or MRC as I have a great mechanic very near by, Paul rs4 had his done at AmD think he was well pleased with the results, maybe search back to see

I paid £500 not a great deal of money IMO as its a mucky time consuming job and if done badly can cause all sorts off problems

And in terms of mods, you probably got maybe 30bhp. To get anywhere near that much out of our cars in any other way will cost you a hell of a lot more so in my mind it is a really cheap mod!!

Well worth doing IMO. AmD sorted out a vacuum problem with mine first (about 62,000 miles at the time) and did the de-coke. Gained over 40 bhp there, and more than the same again with the Milltek, pre-cats and remap. Car runs beautifully in all conditions now.

Had mine done at AMD back in August.

Paid £500 for the decoke.

Dont have the dyno graphs with me, but from memory i got 361 BHP on first dyno, after decoke and fixing an airbox vac leak dyno'ed at 431 BHP (with AMD remap, K&N Airfilter and Milltek Non Res Valved Cat back).

AMD also moved the airbox and manifold vac valves so they are eaiers to replace if they go wrong in the future.

Well worth the £500

I guess the "problem" there is that more work was done than just a decoke. The vacuum fix in both cases could have been responsible for most/all the nominal gain. (Ignoring the other mods, which had a separate run).

I'm also always quite sceptical of charts when the operator of the road is the one who did the work. Am not suggesting AMD are shady *at all*. But a truly controlled test would not involve the person taking the exam marking their own work :)

The true test with any such mods is in the seat of the pants. A 100bhp increase would see a *huge* seat of pants difference (that sort of gain could make the difference between said pants being clean or not after a run :)).
