Maximum power on standard MAF?

I have heard mixed views on what the limitation of the standard MAF is. My car was on 592bhp and have upgraded all internals and put matched 2.4 heads on. Some say that the MAF cannot read glow above these kind of numbers?
1995 (M) Noggie RS2. MD357 turbo and remap. tba bhp.
2000 (X) Noggie RS4. Miltek Cat back. No cats. B7 discs/RS6 calipers. ally flywheel, DUH FMIC, ceramic coated tubular manilfolds, large intake pipes, RS6 turbos, 3" downpipea, large injectors etc MRC remap, 592bhp, 535lbft
1990 (Q) 20vURQuattro. Being fitted with RS4 motor & 6 speeder,porsche brakes.

I'm surprised no-one has developed a big MAF conversion. Same sensor into a slight bigger housing and it will move spread the range it can read. Needs to be carefully calculated though as you'd need a big remap to account for the difference.

You mean like the 100mm hitachi MAF housing Doug put in his B5 WB? It took a long time to get that map right, 3 days IIRC.

Still might be quicker (and cheaper) that getting a MOTEC. Plus keeps all the standard ECU feastures.

Motec is a bitch to map. Bigger maf's been around for years my b5 was mapped on 100mm maf 4 years ago
