Can you only wear those doing a donut, what happens at turn two?
No matter where you go, there you are.

Well, I had a good blast in the 6 using the CG-Lock and it's definitely better than nothing. It pulls the lap bit of the belt tight across your lap / waist holding you in the seat pretty well. Obviously the top of your body is free to move around, but you've got the wheel to hold on to. In this respect, unsurprisingly, the 4 point gives more support, but you look like a nonce driving around with a harness on.
Unless you're on a track, of course.

I've had a CG lock for some time but I've not fit it. I get the feeling it would munch the belt-loop on the seatbelt tab. Have you noticed any damage?

It sounds like it won't do what we need.
Re: Any way to improve seat support?
I tried it on the M3 first and that has got a curved belt-loop thing and the CG-Lock didn't want to lock onto it properly. On the 6 the belt-loop is flat and has a little recess as if it was designed specifically for the CG-lock. No doubt that tightening it up will mark the plastic though. It has on the M3 because I tightened it up like a barsteward and it still wasn't locked on securely. On the Audi I didn't take it off, but it will have marked the plastic for sure. I'm not bothered because it's not visible unless you are specifically looking for it.

Re: Any way to improve seat support?
If you want to know what the CG-lock will be like, pull the belt tight across your missus's lap and get her to keep tugging it so that it presses her down in the seat. Then drive around like a maniac and see if she feels more secure. If not, then the CG-lock will be no good for you. I think it will make a big difference, though.BillTheButcher wrote: It sounds like it won't do what we need.

Re: Any way to improve seat support?
Can you resort to "normal mode" of belt operation if carrying a different passenger etc, or does it stay fixed.?

Re: Any way to improve seat support?
You can pull the tab off and it acts just like a normal belt without you having to remove the CG-Lock.

Re: Any way to improve seat support?
Mine arrived yesterday and fitted in 5 mins.
Did 150 miles down to Dorset and back but hard to say how much difference it made. Have to do something more energetic on some twisties to really tell!!
