The door is, 9 times out of 10, left slightly ajar. I naively assumed that this was to avoid waking anybody up... didn't even consider the alarm.D8vil wrote:Apparently closing the door will trigger the alarm

And no, I am not leaving the doors of my car open by mistake. I'm that guy with OCD who walks back three times and checks the door handle!
At the moment I'm more pissed off that the dealer charged me for "re-coding" a key that didn't need doing if it is simply being bypassed by some device. If anybody has any links to substantiate this, I would be most grateful. Can't believe that a dealer is unaware of this kind of thing happening. I don't expect them to be able to do anything about it, but that's a different matter entirely. I digress...
I'm now going to stick a black Avant emoticon here... simply because it looks cool:
