Rs4 to 1L Nissan Pixo! Bad times

Post by EddyPee » Sat Jan 26, 2013 11:49 am

So, the cars in to the menders to fix my broken door, for the next 2 weeks my driving pleasure will be provided by a 2010 1l Nissan pixo! I didn't expect anything glamourous but this is definately a new motoring low point.

Some stats on this beast

67bhp! Torque 0 (none!) 0-60 (performed by me) around 18 seconds. Top speed 75mph and Had nothing more to offer! Interior made out of melted down wheelie bins. tyres pulled from a children's bike, it's basically a slighty large mobility scooter.

The only good points are it filled with petrol for £40 and its got a nice little cubby for me mobile phone. I've have driven some pants cars in my time but this is the worst ever!

It's gonna be a loooooooong 2 weeks.

It wont cost me that, I put it thru insurance cos luckily I protected my no claims. So cost me £600, the insurer can treat themselves to the rest.

I've tried several times to repeat my 0-60 and have yet to find a road suitably long enough to get to 60. I'm not looking forward to work Monday

I was gonna say if you pay out £2500 on that repair you would have been mad!! I still can't understand how they can charge that money for a door fitment and paint- blend

So so so, Cars gone to the menders via insurance to fix the door, I was told 2 weeks by the mender as they'd need to order parts in. Seemed fair enough, One week in i call for an update and was told havent had the door in yet, should be next week. Annoying but fair enough, Called again today, a week later and they still have not had the door in "hopefully next week"

im so annoyed, I'm driving a 1l Wheelie bin about and its killing me, never been in a car thats so appalling in every way and it's going to be at least another 2 weeks assuming the door comes in next week.

The only redeeming feature of this mobile tin shed is I'll probably save myself £300 in petrol by the time the rs comes back which is half of the bill.

I miss my car, I feel so lucky to actually have a decent motor having experienced what has to be one of the worst new cars available on the market today. I can't wait to get it back for a clean and a blast about but it seems such a long way off.

I bet the Pixo makes specified power.
No matter where you go, there you are.

The doors knackered, can't be closed from the inside so little point in getting it back. 3 weeks to get a door in does seem to be taking the piss a bit, will be giving them some flak if they aren't making headway this week.
