I think you said you had to give the courtesy car back? I'd be conveniently unavailable for when they want it back. Conveniently becoming available when your car is back :)

I've been told I can keep the courtesy car until if and when mine is fixed. Here's what they've given me....

At least that's a reasonable result.

Time to arrange that European tour you and the Mrs always wanted to do. Plus tip runs.

It's not a bad replacement is it, don't think they'll let me keep this £40k motor over mine tho, maybe I should pop to the tip and the south of France so I get my monies worth out of it. I've always wanted to go to Monaco......

I admire your patience. I would have a small protest camp set up outside of the stealers by now.

No it's an s4, still a really nice motor, not a fan of the auto tho. Was no chance they were going to let me loose on the new rs4.

My patience is wearing thin geek. I don't really feel like a customer, more of a metro owner asking Audi to rebuild it from scratch.......

Add in a visit to MRC there and back and it could be even more interesting!

Just spoken to mondial and they are still waiting for the dealer to remove the engine from the car, pull the heads off, check flywheel etc etc before they can proceed with the claim!
I'm getting so hacked off with this now, I was told by the tech approx 2 weeks ago that they were removing the engine and they still haven't done it!
Don't really know what to do anymore as I've been continuously phoning Audi 2-3 times a week to check on progress and now I've learnt that all they've done in the last 3 weeks pretty much is remove the subframe and sump and take a couple of pictures and that's all after they were authorised by the dealer I bought the car from (five oaks) to remove the engine! :bash:

Martin
now armed with that information, and given the patients you have shown the retailer, now might be the time to call Audi customer services and have a case manager look after you.

They will liaise with the retailer on your behalf and help this come to a resolution as clearly if they are not being honest with you then you are not in a great spot.

Keep your cool, after all you do have a 62 plate S4, so it could be worse, but clearly you want some certainty as to the repair of your car.

I would also be asking to speak to the dealer principal you bought the car from.
The sale of goods act says you need to give reasonable opportunity to fix however progress to date has been somewhat unreasonable.
If things are not moving faster soon you would be well within your rights to reject the car and look for money back.
