Update on a few things:

Extended Warranty runs out 23 Jan. Just been in touch with Audi, who have quoted the following for comprehensive cover including 1 year Audi Assist (breakdown) on my car:

0 excess £1293
100 excess £1054
250 excess £860

Named component cover was significantly cheaper obviously.

Bloody good I thought. If I were to keep the car I would go £100 excess. If the new purchaser wants I can arrange for cover (at any level) to be in place before 23 Jan for the corresponding adjustment to purchase price. After that date it becomes a little more complicated to arrange a Mondial policy although not impossible.

Also will get the car MoT'd at Audi this coming month as it benefits from MoT protection so worth using if needed (although I'm sure it will fly through).

Mileage has ticked over to 38,000 with Xmas travels - boy those welsh country roads were fun, the car is just so effortlessly fast and surprisingly nimble - a number of others were left standing not knowing what had just taken off in front of them 8) :D

Bump for the weekend.

Car will be getting a fresh MoT at Audi on Thursday next week - so I can tax it before the end of the month.

Deadline until Audi warranty expires is drawing nearer (23 Jan), so if anyone wants it complete with another year's all component Audi warranty, and total peace of mind, it's time to move now. :D

I had hoped to sell it on this forum, but it will be going on Pee heads tomorrow morning.

Cheers guys.

I am a bit surprised too, lots of pms and enquiries, but no one has come to see it. Maybe it's because I am quite reluctant to sell it, and I don't come across as enthusiastic about selling as I should. That's because it is a fantastic car. It really does drive well, and if I could I would keep it.

However, it does have to go as the call of the b8 is too strong....

Price reduction by £500 to £33,000 with mtm bits, or £32,000 without, to reflect the fact that all the alloys could do with a refurb.

Yours is still on my list Olly
It's a good price
But just been offered a fantastic deal on a new F10 M5
Business lease £599 per month 30 months Dep £3,500
That's bloody cheap
Sill undecided what to go for as much as I like the RS6 but I don't think I can refuse the M5 offer seems to good to be true.

Most RS6's for sale at the moment are 08 plates and have mileages north of 50k or higher (with the exception of Ollys) and £35k minimum at a dealer is a lot of cash for an almost 5 year old car IMO - plus dealers will not budge on price one bloody inch - so I've walked away from 2 this week.
If they were around the £31k mark like Ollys they should be selling like hot cakes
It's all about supply RS6's with big spec are like hens teeth at the moment and commanding good prices
So I'm a bit reluctant to buy at the moment

Mine will be reluctantly handed over to a forum member this weekend all being well - I will be very sad to see her go, for the money they are excellent value and immense fun with one of the best exhaust sounds of any car.
I can see why mint late 57 plate B7 Avants are in such high demand
Gone but not forgotten boohoo !!!

I don't effing believe it. Some absolute fecker overnight has reversed something maybe a tow bar into my diffuser cracking one of the fins and scratching another

To say I'm pissed off would be the understatement of the year so far. :(

Can carbon fibre be repaired???

Oh man that's annoying :knob: I guess if it was a towbar then they may not of noticed but they should of noticed just how close they were to you! That's a bit :dung:

Cheers DK - I think you're right. Brett has offered me the loan of a spare Oem one, which is mighty kind as he lives only round the corner....

Also thanks for all your plugs on here. I owe you both a beer.. :beerchug:

As the carbon will have now to come off the car Olly, I'd personally whip them both off, put the warranty on it, keep the asking price the same. Means you'll be out of pocket for the time being, but you still have the carbon front and rear separately after you've had it glued. I can ask on SELOC (Lotus forum that Thorburn has a hand in) if you like - probably more helpful in terms of fibre glass and carbon fibre repairs - and trusted repairers

If you could ask them that would be great!

And yes I think I'll do as you say re whipping it off and ponying up for a new year warranty. He'll I might even keep the car....
