Nothing is standard on your motor mate so don't ruin it with an rns-e, go aftermarket for something cheaper and better

I have a Kenwood head unit and its better than OEM. Pioneer are also meant to be great. Going OEM with the same spec as above is stupid money and the quality isn't as good imo

That's a fair comment  any links to head units that fit straight in or with little modification?

last year I was watching a thread about head units, someone on here got stung ordering from abroad?

You will need an adapter plate to fit most aftermarket headunits but they are easy to get. Just find a good headunit then ask questions on here. Some very helpful guys on here who will help out.

Ps, where abouts in Warwickshire is the?

I look at lots of options and ended up going with rns-e, nothing else looked right to me. Aftermarket are def better spec but just did not seem to sit right or match the other dash materials. A6 rns-e are expensive as we're only fitted to 04-05 cars including all road so not that many around.

You need to get a6/all road rnse if you go for that option as the others don't fit correctly. Picked up my head unit for about 500, 2010 disc for £20 and added Bluetooth last week for £140.

With many aftermarkets you also loose the DIS which was another feature I did not want to loose.

OK the time has possibly come to sell her, she is off for new discs at the rear and pads all round in January, new MOT too just been taxed for 12 months, wheels could do with refurbishment too but do not know if I got the time,

One hell of a beast not everyone's cup of tea but definitely exclusive :biggrin3: you will spend most of the time looking in your rear mirror at people :bigwave:

my question is though what is it worth? :?

Nah, 15k at least should be doable, it is sub 50k miler this. No box worries either, so you're already £5,500 up on the bombproof box rebuild.

I am closer to 10K too. It isn't a "magical, mystical" + model with the makes no sense 50% price hike second hand pricing. You never, ever ever expect to get much/any money back from modifications, if you do then you clearly haven't sold many modded cars, my opinion at least;).

Look at Doug's loon which had no takers when it was on earlier this year at 9-10K and bar the manual gearbox wasn't really any different IMO.
