The mini system sounds the best. No button and always on. You just press the brake normally and it just keeps the brakes on for a second - enough time to sort out clutch and accelerator balance.
Works well enough in conjunction with the handbrake.

The Hill Hold thing has NO button. The "A" button next to the handbrake button is Auto Brake, and has nothing to do with Hill Hold. Hill Hold engage the brake when you go uphill. It activates when you step on the brake pedal and come to a complete stop. If you do that then the car wont move unless you step on the accelerator. It will also disengage after 2 seconds if you are not stepping on the brake pedal. The auto brake is another features that is like the hill hold but works regardless of the situation and it is very annoying. Most people do not use it.

Ah right - perfect.
I was surprised to see it was a button :)
In that case for 65 quid it's a no brained as it is quite handy.

Does the rs4 b8 box creep forward like a conventional auto?

News to me! I always activate the A button thinking it was hill hold. Going to have a play tonight.

Indeed it does, though not sure what it's like on a hill without hill hold. My R32 would roll back unless you had used the handbrake and then taken your foot off the brake.

The"A" button is for the stop start system nothing to do with hill hold.

The statement 'If you do that the car move won't move unless you step on the accelerator' is incorrect.

In the FL cars there is another 'A' button which is start stop. This one is located nearer to the drink holders.
