I like the idea of a saving £ but Not at cost of performance ... It's paying to downgrade IMO
You need to remember though, the RS6 is a hippo, and 70% of the weight is probably at the front anyway, I welcome a few extra kgs on the back, even sh1t up a little. If the OP can't feel the difference in his hand, will he really feel it on his car? I could not tell any difference when I upgraded from my C5 setup to the C6 one, yet the C6 discs were noticeably heavier and I was looking out for/expecting a change in the cars handling. I do agree though in that no way am I putting Phaetons on my car, has to be factory parts or better.

Any weight that spins is amplified many times .. The suspension has a harder time so on

Admitadly it's even greater felt if was on front, but for me it's a backwards step, all IMO

I can't believe Amar you did not notice the weight of those super heavy c6 disc's ? I noticed when changing wheels to bbs or even tyres and again when fitting our lighter disc's

I didn't, but then I drive it on the road 99% of the time. Maybe I would if I tracked it on the regular? But I hear what you're saying about unsprung weight. I'd still have loved some Lobas. I'll probably go for the Meyle HD control arms if the bigger brakes are stressing the suspension more, was going to go 034, anyway, we digress...

I don't track mine really, just like to drive sprited, when I say suspension has harder time I mean keeping the the tyre in contact so handling suffers

a really good way to feel the mass and forces is to hold a light bike wheel in your hands and spin by hand (5mph) then move it as if turning !

Discs were already below min thickness, but it was worth going to see all the car porn. Including an F50, had the pads changed too, I don't care if the discs feck the new pads up as one was down to metal. Going to grab some discs from TPS. They did tell me my control arms are fine though and checked everything else which is good news. I nearly ended up buying the R35 GTR.

Yep, all good. The owner Mark was a friendly guy and spent a good hour just taking to me and said if I'm ever passing I can pop by for a chat and a look over. It's called The Supercar Showroom.
