I'm suspecting from my knowledge of 996 and V8 Vantage prices that these are akin to a £6000 C5 RS6... There's a reason why it's cheap. There will always be the nicer examples which an enthusuast will gladly pay a premium for.linkman72 wrote:Has anyone looked at 'supercars' though![]()

I found a paint damaged 2006 Aston V8 Vantage for 16k or how about a 200 DB7 for 15k![]()

Or a 2004 Carrera 4s 'widebody' for 15k ? No ? how about a 2005 Maserati 4.2 GT Coupe for 12k
There just seems to be a lot more car for your money at the minute and that seems to go across all the manufacturers, presumably down to increased production and lots of people getting chuckied up on porkers in the height of the 'madness'
Current Prices?

Re: Current Prices?
I bought mine 2 years ago, and considering how much this car makes me smile, it was a bargain for £10K. I've spent less than £2K on repairs/servicing in two years so I consider myself lucky! When I decided to go for the RS6, I remember thinking that a well looked after example will always be worth around £10K. The car I still lust after that is 'affordable' though, is the Maserati Quattroporte, though you can't get one for under £16K, and I feel that maybe they won't fall much further in price. Surely a future classic! Gorgeous looks and sound.
I drove one round the Millbrook 'country' circuit a few years ago, and for a big car, the handling is really excellent. Thing is I don't think I could part with the RS6! Guess I'll have to sell one of the kids so I can have both, hehehe!!

Re: Current Prices?
I agree a minter is still worth more but thats no guarantee the motor wont lunch itself on the way home, like I said before some people dont mind the risk but a lot would think 10yr old supercar n its going to go wrong etc etc. With regard to prices for the others there where some cheaper examples but they definately were what I would call 'projects'.
I see cars now for less than a grand that I thought would hold their value a lot more but I guess cars are just moving on with tech and tech doesnt seem to mean anything with regards to price ( I mean aircon and cruise control on a fiesta ?!?! whatever is the world coming to )
