Glad you asked. Basically, from past experience and excessive/compulsive VAGISIL usage! :shock:

Speaking of which, thought it was a bit unrealistic when new ones I installed just over a year ago reported back that they then had 95 months (nearly 8 years) of life remaining... but 14 months on and they're still counting down linearly and consistently.
Ask me again if that's still the case in another 6 years... :assflash:

What be the case in six years? Did the warranty co cough up?

Think I did try the warranty company on the off-chance but, as expected, they're essentially consumables... what with the irreplaceable (& toxic) batteries.

Sure, it'd make sense to do them before rather than after (to avoid risk of damage/repeating work/etc.), but surely even more sense to do them at the same time... or am I missing some logic?
It's certainly what I've done in the past, as (if doing a full powder-coat refurb) then the tyre and TPMS have to be removed and refitted as part of the process anyhow... so it's no more effort/cost to fit new TPMS and/or rubber at the same time... (other than the cost of the parts, of course). :thumbs:

Didn't word it properly, I did mean don't get them done AFTER a refurb. As you say, at the same to makes more sense.

Nick, tell fisherman Chunky how good my RS 6 sounded when you were behind me that day. I'm trying to convince him to invest in some downpipes.

I will get another set of downpipes when I spot a cheap pair to gutt again. Your car may sound nice but your seats are grey!

Nah, Amars are the full MOT fail downpipe, i will just gut the pre-cats. Won't make a huge difference but it will make some.
