No idea what price to pimp them on at Shopp, likewise with the old calipers as they are sitting in my garage pissing me off to be honest. Will start trawling Ebay I guess and see. I knew the Carbotech hammered those discs but wow :D.

I sold my 8pots on SRS to a B5 owner in Romania, of all places. They went for £400 - £450, I think.

I really wasn't expecting to get that sort of money for them, they look battered to me but thanks for that. Guess I should cap off the line holes and get to work with the degreaser then! Ebay by any chance?

These brakes are like catnip to the B5 boys. I sold them on SRS and waited for the paypal funds to clear. Who knew a Romanian with 4 forum posts would turn out legit?

I put mine on SRS and asked for offers, ended up selling mine for £400, was offered £500 just after I'd agreed to sell them for £400, doh! The 8 pots are a really popular upgrade for the B5 and other VAG cars, £4-500 is the right mark. Advertise them as B7 RS 4/C5 RS 6 calipers as they fit the B7 too.

Yeah, you just need to remove the front brace to fit a B5/B7.

I thought B7 already had the same caliper? Haven't looked that closely. Got to change some disks on one soon so will check it out.

Yeah, the B7 has the exact same calipers minus the brace. I should have been more clear. It's just that a lot of the B5 guys refer to the brake upgrade as 'B7 RS 4 brake upgrade' so advertise the calipers as such.

Confused, what guff do they stick on to the front of the B7 RS4 if they regard these old 8 pots as upgrades???? Chunk, it looks like it is more hassle than it is worth to marry these up to the S3.

I was going to ask about bundling the discs too, so we are saying that just removing a bit allows these disc to bolt straight on and centre up properly with the 8 pot too when stuck on a B5/B7? Result if correct. Thanks ladies :)

Lots of confusion going on here. Some of it my fault. The C5 disks won't fit on the B7 without spacers. You wouldn't want to anyway, the B7 disks are the same diameter. Don't know anything at all about the B5.

Ah ok. Didn't know what was involved and thought they would be a nice cheap upgrade.
