Thats too big a difference in rolling diameter IMHO

I note that the Audi upgrade package has 255/30/19 tyres on the front and not 35 profiles, presumably to keep the rolling circumferences similar front to rear.

so after an eagle eye viewer spotted the deliberate mistake here are

255 v 235 large front v stock front
255 v 225 large front v stock rear

no, in the bottom half of the UK we probably get 2-4 days of snow that stays on the ground a couple of times a year and only 1-3 inches

2010 we had about 12-18 inches for about 3 weeks that was bad by our standards I ran on summer tyres the whole time lol

you will probably get cheaper winter tyres on 18"

In snow (or standing water) the wheel diameter isn't the main factor, it's the width of the tyre - as a narrower tyre increases the contact pressure and improves the ability to "cut" through.

best bet is an all season tire. unless you've got your Audi garaged for the winter, then you might as well be prepared for performance in any situation less you be caught unprepared in and unexpected situation.
