DAB would be great but my favorite rock station 'Kerrang' only transmits in mono so not worth it for me yet.

In all fairness Luke had been out in the car only an hour before we left, I had been running the engine for 30 mins or so during that shat weather and I only gave her a bit of a tickle leaving the event but yes :)

Footlong's car is like brand new inside. I'm careful not to use that chliche phrase too often when describing a car btw but seriously, that thing is showroom fresh. I'm so jealous of your full leather interiors. The brakes and RNS E/wheels look fab. I'm glad you're pleased with the RNS E, the new 2010 model is well worth having, I loved the LEDS. Every mod on Footer's car has been carefully considered and it shows. Awesome car and all the effort has really paid off.

Thanks Amar. I actually think that the leather is looking a bit scruffy but that is probably just me being me. The LED lighting all round is possibly my favourite mod, they really do look brilliant at night but more importantly, greatly increase the light on the floor etc when getting out. Took an age to do but totally worth it. Once Lee has the right conditions to finish the detail that I threw a spanner in on with the 11th hour brakes that the fitters cocked up fitting, she should be looking good, just in time for shat weather winter.

Ben, when NHN swaps them over, if I can keep the old ones I have no problems sending them over to you my dear. I need to get those pads detached and posted back anyhoo. I don't think I have taken much off them at all :)

Footer's car was in superb condition and stupidly I forgot to stick head in to check out the interior. All that effort paid off, plus he is a top gent.

No rush at all for the pads, Nick. I only want them so that I have a complete C5 working set if ever I decide to sell it or put them on another car. I gave my Mintex away. Haven't heard from the bloke since, hope he's not dead.

Update on the brake setup. I re-bled the all around last week but I am still not 100% convinced that every single little air molecule is out of the system but that is probably just me. I am sorely tempted to book her in with Audi Camberley purely for a tertiary bleed.

I have had a couple of opportunities to really beat up the new setup and I haven't managed to get them to fade yet but, the weather hasn't been good enough to go out for one of my really 'proper' runs and that will really tell me.

The Brembo pads have potential and bite pretty well after the heat builds in to them but they are still world's apart from the XP-10 pads. Now that I am not running any disc guards at all, I am really tempted to get another set just to see how stupidly good this uprated set up could be. I might just stick sensible hat on and drop down to the XP-8 pads though.

Won't know for a while yet though as next month's money is now going towards getting the R reverted back to stock, sold (pissed after I just put new Eagles on all round less than 2 weeks ago...) and another car purchased for madam..

Oh sorry, I must have not said. Madam got reversed in to by a council van last week, complete with towbar attached. Headlight brackets busted, crossmember buckled, bumper torn through, centre grill mashed.

Despite getting 2 repair quotes that say exactly the same thing, their insurers are contesting the value and want to send an engineer around check the car over. Am currently sorting out getting everything taken off the car and set back to stock.

Yellow or Red S3 225 is the plan as best friend had played dibs on Noggy Blue when I find the right one for him.

Nick, buy the car off the insurance company if they write it off. Fix it up, strip it and take it to the track :)
