What did I tell 'ya? Take it for a drive and it will be fine. Right, that's it. I'm ordering my 2010 RNS E tonight. Is there anything I should know beforehand, Nick?

Amar, play with it tomorrow as madam was loading up the boot and moaning as Nigel was finishing up in the car. Lets just say that on the private runway down here cruising at well above 3 figures to make up time was done. I haven't touched any settings at all yet and it is all new to me as you know.

Sorry for keeping text to a minimum, typing on phone.

Thanks, Footers. Yeah, I'll do that. I'm so tired, asked a friend to drive down for me. It's a 2 hour drive so will be with you lot around 11.

Tell me about it. Have only had about 10 hours sleep between the last 3 nights. Feel like the walking dead.

All the hard work has paid off, the car looks great 12". Just looked out the window at the 4 beasts, not a bad view first thing in the morning.

It was parked with the 3 other c5s. The brakes are tidy! Hope they pass the footlong test.

Yes that was mine. When we got there late on Friday night I saw your 6 parked there and thought that it would rude not to park up next to you, that and it was a big spot. I have to be honest and say that I reversed in specifically so the new brakes could be seen :).

Chunk, they did very well on the way home. I am hoping that I didn't get caught on a police laser gun on the way back as I had been mainly cruising until a pleb got in my way and just wouldn't budge out of my way. Stretched her legs only once to get a gap from him only to find that 15 seconds or so in to deceleration, but well in to ban territory, there he was. planted the anchors down to 70 with no issue. Pads are still nothing on the XP10 pads whatsoever but I will reserve judgement until the final brake bleed when I get a chance.

Far more importantly, I am in love with the latest gen RNS-E conversion. To say that I think the nav is better than a TomTom (or at least easily as acceptable) is not something I thought I would ever say. The screen/mapping quality is excellent.

The widescreen is very nice, still love my Kenwood though. I had a good blast on the way back home, didn't get held up like yesterday. Good job I did get held up cause I wouldn't have been able to hold on to you or bam.

Might have to get one. I haven't done anything on the car for ages. Why are you putting silver knobs on it, Nick? Not a bit tacky?

How about some photos of the brakes on the car?

Mate, that standing water on the M4 along with the spitting and traffic meant that we couldn't really have fun anyway so you didn't miss owt and you are packing plenty of power. In a perfect world I would have loved to see the actual difference with all of us on a clear 3 lane motorway at 80 in 4th/tip, all plant it and see the physical difference that our 3 different power levels produce.

I just felt bad when I bombed off at the first sign of a gap. Didn't help that you hadn't closed your boot properly bumnut ;)

In two minds about the knobs at present BUT, the current main knob is a little loose (hard to explain) so i will probably be doing it just for that reason alone my fwend. Brakes are dirty now and knackered while trying to see a car on a whim. I will do my very best to get fitted pics up within the next day or 2 and of the E if you want?

Dunc, going to feel dirty but am biting the bullet and probably getting the Alpine Ez-DAB or whatever it is called fitted then I have everything I need.

You were naughty boys racing off with cold engines anyway!!!
Can't believe I left the boot open but was not going to pull over and miss both you and bams sound off. Bams is just fecking hilarious, could only just see him but could still hear him.
Think I'm going to have to get some LED lights now after seeing yours.

Shopp, all the hard work you guys have done with the brakes is worth it in my opinion as they look amazing.

No rush for the photos.

If you give me your old knobs, I'll see if I can get some nice turned aluminium ones made up.
