Mental isn't it???

You do get used to it after a while.....and it's only when you look at speedo(I have digi one on all the time) you realise you are travelling in licence loosing speed ?

The car is so insulated from outside world so this makes it even easier to forget how quick you are going.

I also have the speed warning set to 100 as you reach it in no time at all..and as you know anything 100 or above is instant ban.

Get used to regular visits to the petrol station the RS4 is economical compared to this bad boy!!!

Enjoy!

Regarding kick down... You're better of kicking it down with the paddles in sport, quicker and smoother.

Good tips thanks - keep em coming.

Even though i am a bloke i might just have to read the manual when i get it. so many gismos.
As far as i am aware my car has (forgive me if i list standard items):
3G MMI (very pleased i lucked out with this) :)
Power Door Closure, (why oh why would you pay for this?)
sunroof
load fixing kit and luggage pack
Reversible load floor mat
manual rear blinds
Advanced Key,
Privacy Glass,
Lockable Side Compartment,
Parking System Advanced,
Digital TV and DAB Radio
Recaros (not buckets)
Electrically adjustable steering column (again why esp for £300)

I am amazed at the difference in book price between 08's and 09's about £5k

Similar spec to mine although I haven't got sunroof.

It's a totally different beast to a RS4...it's no where near as agile but I don't find it as lardy as some people say?

I find it good enough in dynamic suspension mode for fast road driving in Britain. It isn't a track car period, and you'll find sports suspension setting rock hard.
Brakes are also good enough for the above.... Of course if your tracking I reckon you could shag a set of pads and discs in a session due to weight and velocity of the thing!!

I personally find the build quality down on the B7? Mines partially creaky around the rear load liner area?

Gadgets are great better level of tech than RS4...you end up fiddling with settings on the move.. Be warned !

Pop on up shifts is addictive and sounds great from outside. You may be a little disappointed on the noise front from inside BUT they do sound good on the outside.

If your anal about keeping your wheels clean this car will do your head in the amount of brake dust is un real.
Mine also picks up loads of stone hips!! Arrghhh!!

They seem bulletproof too. With no major failure stories with the car now being 4 years old!!....gearbox and engine seem rock solid...no electrical issues...one issue is the wheel bearing which you can read plenty on on here. I got mine done free out of warranty by Audi.

Hi Scottie. Well done on the purchase. Also came from a rs4 to rs6 and its a completely different car

You will get use to the power and want more. Sound insane that a 571 bhp estate is not enough but give it 2-3 months and you be thinking stage 2, new filter and custom exhaust.

I shouldnt ask but ballpark how much does it cost to transfer into a 700hp beast - do you have to have the exhaust done?

Im not seriously looking into it (yet) so i dont want to bother MRC.

Will be about 2k with gearbox map and filters. You don't have to do the exhaust, though some marginal gains could be had.

I might be wrong? But I think you can remap to 700 on the standard zorsts .... But you need high flow air filters??

Of course I may be wrong.... But I'd suggest a custom zorst anyway if you are going to remap?
