I went into Aberdeen Audi a few months ago and was told nothing could be done with the whistling brake problem at low speeds and also posted on this forum for any ideas. I phoned them to book it in as I feel they wouldn't have contacted me......but that's just my own personal dealings with Audi! :audibash:
So what it's being booked in for? Brakes or the recall (Air Duct) :sekret:

Well it's all a mystery as they didn't know about the recall, then phoned me back to say there has been a recall, but didn't specify what it was for. I had questioned about the brakes, but they didn't answer. I'll find out in a few weeks! :beerchug:

Audi don't usually contact owners for a service campaign such as this, they are only required to contact owners for a safety related recall run by VOSA.

Hello All

Contacted my stealer about this and they confirmed my car requires it.
They did ask where I was made aware of it. Got the impression it was not on general release though.
Thought you guys would wish to know.
Thanks Moschop5.

Your correct my S4 has had 5 TSBS [tecnical service bulletins] i read about them on AUDIZINE and contacted the dealer myself except the last one {rear light seals] which the dealer told me about when it went in for service.

I'll be doing the same with mine, need to get round to swapping the wheels over though (back to original) and getting an arch scratch repaired.

Called ahead of time to my local stealer and explained the issue regards recall...sure enough it comes up on their system. "No problems, just get it booked in and we can deal with it."

Also required "complimentary satnav update" and an issue I have with the rear wiper (does not automatically active when main wipers on and reverse gear is selected).

They did not have a courtesy car available, but I said I would wait...make use of the wifi and do some work...

Nearly a 3 hour wait and done....or so I thought.

"When the car comes in we have to do an inspection first. The vent fin replacement (the "recall") needs to be done, but will take about 3-4 hours for the bonding agent to set. We also need to order the discs for your update. As for the wiper, we have tried to deactivate it from the control menu and reactivate it, but that has not worked...we'll need to look into this fully which may take some time. I suggest you book in again so we can give you a car and we can take our time over this"

"Oh just FYI, you have less than 4mm tread on the fronts, just incase you need to spend any cash here...." (I've done just over 12K)

Genius!! I thought I'd avoid problems like this by calling well in advance and telling them what needed doing (wiper aside). :audibash:

I know that the rear wiper on reverse did work when I got the car...has anyone else noticed this failing....?

My dealer said there's no recall for my car and I've not got the holes... Is there anything I can send them? I've already sent them the first post.. Guess next step is a call to Audi UK

My stealer wasn't aware till they looked up the detail.
Then he agreed.
Send him the link to this thread. If no luck call Audi uk.

If someone who has had the work done could post the TSB number you can then give the stealer it and they can input it into their system.
