Don't have any sound bites of mine I'm afraid, but it sounds almost identical to this one, minus the supercharger whine:

HSV or GTFO . Oh how I dribbled over them when I was in Aus. For some unknown reason it actually angered me when I first found out that they were going to have Vauxhall badges slapped on them over here and have god knows what else done....

Pretty much thats all they changed.
Still, good on them for bringing them in - when they first turned up at under 40k VX were making a 10k/car loss on them.
I got mine brand spanking new for about 27k in 2007 (including Walkingshaw exhaust). Can't argue with that really.

Only downside is the stupid parts situation. For example, brake discs are made in uk, shipped to GM in US then to holden in australia and then back to the UK VX dealers. As such they are crazy expensive oem.

Yeah she's great fun, especially the anonymity - no-one has a clue what it is, as mine had the original HSV badges back on. Only reason I'm getting rid is that I'm not allowed to have 4 cars, and I have a craving for something properly hardcore...

I used to get really really annoyed with it and other people.
They'd come up and go "whoa! cool car!".... "Is it the new vectra?"

FFS no it <beep> isn't you cretin. Does it look like a vectra to you!?! <and relax>

Liking this thread, but I'm getting very envious of the other kit that some people have!

I don't think that pictures of a MK1 Transit camper-van or a Peugeot 406 V6 Coupe are in the same league somehow!

Restoration of the van nearing completion - no twin-turbo power to mangle the gearbox in this, and with only 30k on the clock, should be good for another few years!
