Quote from the Express and Star.

The chase, in the early hours of 13 January, took place after a raid on the Murco petrol station in Warstones Road, Wolverhampton.

One bandit trying to rob another then, just that the petrol station is leagaly stealing with his fuel prices :bash:

If my memory serves me well, when you are banned from driving AND given a prison sentence, your driving ban starts and is spent when you are in prison ?

How bloody ridiculous is that !!! If true, after serving what could be a four and a half year sentence, he will be free to drive when he gets out.

Can anyone confirm or correct me ?

Several reports are saying this is one of 2 RS5 in the country with a lambo engine in it? Where have they got that from? Seems too specific for them to just be quoting lambo engined car cos the v8 is derived from the v10 lambo... anyone aware of conversions being done?

I don't see how you'd get the V10 and transmission in the engine bay of an A5. It's just too big. Just sounds like a case of rounded numbers being quoted along with the press' usual standards of fact checking.

How many supercharged RS5s are there knocking about? Can't be that many? Maybe 2?

And was the V8 derived from the V10 or the other way round? I thuoght the V8 had been around for years and the V10 was then derived from it.

- Media hears Audi RS5 and Googles to find an early story about the RS5 to possibly get the V10 Lambo engine http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=460890" - from then on, the RS5 has a Lambo engine.
- The media hears that the stolen car is only one of two in the country that has a "special panoramic glass roof", the car now becomes one of only two cars of its type in the country.
- Someone estimates that the car was estimated "...doing speeds of180mph", it now becomes the headline and somehow, completely and unquestionably true. What are "...speeds of 180MPH"???
- When watching the helicopter Infa-Red footage, it is noted that the wheels/brakes and the exhaust tips are leaving heat trails on the IR camera. The media now reports this as "...flames appeared to be shooting from the rear of the vehicle..."
- The car is found to have Audi optioned carbon/ceramic brakes, again, Google is consulted and there's a reference to Formula 1 cars also having carbon/ceramic brakes. The media now report the car as having "...racing car brakes".
- It is learned that it is possible to order the RS5 with the speed restrictor lifted, the car is now reported as being "...specially modified Audi RS5".
- The judge said "There was a moment in that pursuit when the helicopter thought that your intention was to out-run the helicopter". The media now reports that "Getaway driver outpaces police helicopter".

C-units.
No matter where you go, there you are.
