Just a quickie,
What is the dB limit at castle on the 2nd ?
My mates 996 C2 (ie the +1 on the above list) came in at
102dB at Goodwood yesterday.

Will any helmet do on the day (i.e I was thinking of an open faced motorbike helmet)

...or does it have to be a proper car type helmet?

Anyone know?

Thanks bushy, I've seen your helmet but was wondering does it have to be a specific type of helmet, or will just a motorbike one do?

to be honest the day before to Castle Coombe last year I decided not to pay the £10 hire charge for 2 helmets as my local motorcycle shop was selling them for £25 each

I thought i would get my money back over a few track days

Maybe if i do a few more this year i will purchase a better helmet but at the mo i am happy with the one i have got

I mean the plan is i never test it

Just make sure it has a blue and gold ACU badge on it (99% do) otherwise the track won't let you out in it.

Thanks guys,
Being something of a meathead myself I thought I had better buy one just in case the hire ones don't fit me (don't laugh, last time I went carting they only had one helmet that I could wear, and that was tight!!!!)

I think I'll go for a cheap £25 one and see if I enjoy trackdays before I spend a fortune on a carbon fibre one!!

Cheers John,
If the limit is 98dB there is no way he will get through, 102dB at Goodwood this week and 105dB at Goodwood in November (go figure)
Can I get a refund for my +1 ?

I however am still looking forward to the 2nd

Suggest you get him to use a muffler to limit the noise, the money has been paid to CC i can only see if someone else can take his place, i dont think it will be a problem,or just sell his place to another friend.

Information Packs have now been prepaired, also an indemnity form to sign, please make sure that you bring it with you on the day, otherwise you will not be allowed on the track.
So can anyone attending the day who has paid in full (I know how has BTW)
And anyone who still has not paid please PM me there Addresses and send the remainder of the money owing, may i remind you that if i dont recieve all payments by the end of play on the 12th of March, then any deposits are forfitted, and some one else will take your place.
This is most Urgent as i need to pay the balance this week.
Cheers

Prawn, I might have someone interested in going if you want to out your place?

I doubt mufflers will work at CC as they like to test inside the scrutineering building so are dead strict.
